A nameplate, WESTMORLAND, from the LNER D49 Shire Class 4-4-0 No 2760 built at Darlington in June 1929, renumbered 2735 in 1946, becoming BR 62735. Allocated to Carlisle Canal by January 1948 and later Starbeck, York and Scarborough from where it was withdrawn on 25 August 1958 and cut up at Darlington Works. Cast brass, length 46½". £6000-7000 |
