A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 65786, R. STEPHENSON & CO, 1906, from a North Eastern Railway Class P3, LNER J27 Class, 0-6-0 No 888 which, contrary to the information on the plate, was actually built at Darlington in June 1906. It was renumbered 5786 in 1946 and became BR 65786. A long time Blyth engine, it was withdrawn from there in April 1962 and cut up at Darlington Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", cleaned but unpainted. £250-400 |
