| Lot 217 | A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 4486, NB LOCO Co, 1909, from a North British Railway Class B 0-6-0 No 199 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 18882, in September 1909. It became LNER J35 Class No 9199 and was renumbered 4486 in 1946, becoming BR 64486. A long time St Margarets engine, from where it was withdrawn in September 1958 and cut up by Motherwell Machinery & Scrap at Wishaw in February 1960. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front repainted. £200-350 |
