| Lot 116 | A worksplate, GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY, DONCASTER, No 1519, 1921, from a GNR/LNER N2 Class 0-6-2 No 4607 built in April 1921, renumbered 9491 in 1946, becoming BR 69491. A long time Kings Cross engine, it was withdrawn from there on 26 January 1959 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Fully engraved brass, 12"x7½", lightly polished, the back stamped 4607. £400-600 |
