A smokebox numberplate, 80006, from a BR Standard Class 4 2-6-4T built at Brighton. Allocated new on 24 November 1952 to Polmadie where it spent most of its working life except for a brief stay at Beattock and a final four years at St Margarets from where it was withdrawn on 2 September 1966 and sold for scrap to Shipbreaking Industries at Faslane. The plate is accompanied by its BR receipt. Repainted. £400-600 |
