A company nameplate, WALKER BROTHERS (WIGAN) LTD, PAGEFIELD IRONWORKS, WIGAN, probably from a mill engine or similar. The company was famous for building the County Donegal Railway railcars between 1934 and 1951. These carried circular worksplates, the wording the same as on this plate.
