| Lot 317 | A smokebox numberplate, 5674, from a GWR 5600 Class 0-6-2T built at Swindon in August 1926. A long time Merthyr engine, it moved in 1961 to Treherbert from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 18 April 1964 and sold for scrap to Birds Commercial Motors at Morriston on 3 June 1964. The front repainted, the back marked Caerphilly, indicating that the loco was serviced at the Works there. £300-400 |
