| Lot 297 | A worksplate, No. 2106, DONCASTER, 1952, from a (LMS) Class 4 2-6-0 No 43161, the last of the Class and the last Doncaster engraved worksplate used. Allocated new to Yarmouth Beach on 3 September 1952, its later sheds were Neasden, Norwich, Staveley GC, Grimesthorpe, Colwick and Staveley Barrow Hill from where it was withdrawn on 20 June 1965 and subsequently scrapped. Engraved brass, 12½"x6½", the back stamped 3161 and marked Works Serial Number Plate. £400-600 |
