| Lot 295 | A smokebox numberplate, 68032, from a War Department Austerity 0-6-0ST built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns, Works No 7211, to Ministry of Supply order in April 1945, WD No 75281. In May 1946 the majority of the class were loaned to the LNER and subsequently taken into LNER stock as their J94 Class. This loco was numbered 8032 by the LNER and became BR 68032. Allocated to York by January 1948, it moved in 1959 to Darlington and in 1960 to West Hartlepool from where it was withdrawn on 25 May 1964 and subsequently scrapped. The front repainted. £300-500 |
