| Lot 289 | A worksplate, GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY, DONCASTER, 1548, 1922, from a GNR Class J23 0-6-0T No 225 built at Doncaster in November 1922. It became LNER J50 Class No 3225 and was renumbered 8924 in 1946, becoming BR 68924. Allocated to Stratford by January 1948, it moved the following year to Norwich, returning in 1960 to Stratford from where it was withdrawn on 14 February 1961 and subsequently scrapped. Engraved brass, 12½"x7½, unpolished, the back stamped 3225. £600-900 |
