A tenderplate, BR2A, 1475, 1957, coupled new with BR Standard Class 4 2-6-0 No 76090 built at Horwich and allocated new to Corkerhill on 7 June 1957 and later Parkhead and Motherwell before moving in August 1962 to Beattock where it was used as a banking engine on the famous incline. Withdrawn from Beattock on 31 December 1966, it was sold for scrap to Shipbreaking Industries at Faslane. Cast iron, 8"x6", in ex loco condition. £150-300 |
