A worksplate, ANDREW BARCLAY, 1065, 1906, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST new to the contractors P. & W. Anderson and despatched to Buchanan Street Station, Glasgow, where it was probably used on a contract for the extension to the Goods Station. Sold around 1910 to the dealers Thos. W. Ward Ltd who resold it circa 1912 to the Kettering Iron & Coal Co. Ltd, Kettering Furnaces, Northamptonshire, where it became No 10. Rebuilt by Andrew Barclay in 1941. Sold in May 1960 to the Wellingborough Iron Co. Ltd, Wellingborough Ironworks, where it was scrapped in February 1963. Cast brass, 16½"x11¾", in ex loco condition. £250-400 |
