| Lot 129 | A South African Railways cabside numberplate, 3788, S2, from a 3ft 6ins gauge Class S2 0-8-0 shunting locomotive built by Krupp, Works No 3053, in 1952. The class was specifically designed for lightly laid harbour track and mainly worked in Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town, although latterly 3788 was allocated to Capital Park, Pretoria. Cast brass, 20¾"x14½", the front original paintwork, cleaned. £200-350 |
