A smokebox plate, Z.A.S.M, as carried by locos operated by the Nederlandsche Zuid-Afrikaansche Spoorweg-Maatschappij (DZASM), a railway formed in the Transvaal in 1887, which was taken over by the Imperial Military Railways during the Boer Way and became part of the Central South African Railways in 1902 and of South African Railways following the formation of the Union of South Africa in 1910. Cast brass, 19"x7", with 5" rear fixing at the corners, in ex loco condition. £200-350 |
