A worksplate, CONSTRUCTED AT ASHFORD WORKS, SE&CR, from a South Eastern & Chatham Railway H Class 0-4-4T No 519 built at Ashford in July 1909, which became SR 1519 and BR 31519. Allocated to Tonbridge by January 1948 and later Ramsgate, St Leonards, Faversham and Ashford, finally returning to Tonbridge from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 4 March 1961 and cut up at Ashford Works in the week ending 3 June 1961. Cast brass, 11¼"x5¾", the front repainted. £200-350 |
