| Lot 499 | A worksplate, PECKETT, 1223, 1912, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST which went new to the Midland Railway Carriage & Wagon Co. Ltd, Washwood Heath, Birmingham, later part of Metropolitan Carriage, Wagon & Finance Co Ltd. Sold in 1927 to Howley Park Coal & Cannel Co. Ltd., Batley, Yorkshire, West Riding. They sold it in 1930 to Swanwick Collieries Ltd, Ripley, Derbyshire, where it became No 3. Later with Furnace Hill & Renishaw Park Collieries Ltd, Derbyshire. To NCB with colliery in January 1947. Scrapped at Renishaw Park around 1963. Engraved brass, 12"x8½". £150-300 |
