| Lot 485 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 2947, from the 2900 Saint Class 4-6-0 MADRESFIELD COURT built at Swindon in June 1912 and named after the Court three miles from Great Malvern. At Swindon by January 1948, it was withdrawn from there on 26 April 1951 and cut up at the nearby Works by the following 3 November. Cast brass, the front repainted, the beading stamped with the usual engine and boiler details and also the word Saint to the top left. £1500-2000 |
