| Lot 443 | A worksplate, AVONSIDE, 1865, 1922, from a standard gauge 0-4-0ST new to the South Suburban Gas Co, Lower Sydenham gas works, London, named ELIZABETH. Passed to the South Eastern Gas Board in May 1949 and transferred to Waddon Marsh gas works in June 1955. Passed into preservation in July 1969 and last recorded at the Old Railway Station, Rippingale, Lincolnshire. Cast brass, 10¾"x6½", the front repainted. £200-350 |
