| Lot 331 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 4254, from a 4200 Class 2-8-0T built at Swindon in March 1917. Allocated to Llanelly by January 1948 and later Swindon, Cardiff Canton, Newport Pill, Severn Tunnel Junction and Ebbw Junction from where it was withdrawn on 30 April 1965 and sold for scrap to Birds Commercial Motors at Risca on 2 June 1965. Cast brass, the front repainted. £350-500 |
