A locomotive headboard, THE CORNISHMAN, carried on the Wolverhampton (Low Level) to Penzance service via Stratford-upon-Avon. This style of headboard was carried until September 1962 when the train was re-routed to commence at Sheffield (Midland). Cast aluminium, 35½"x13¾", in original condition. The back shows the names of ER, Sc, LMR and WR named trains whose headboards were of the same dimensions. £2500-3000 |
