| Lot 315 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 5240, from a 4200 Class 2-8-0T built at Swindon in August 1924. Allocated to Llanelly by January 1948 and later Swindon, St Blazey and Aberdare from where it was withdrawn on 14 February 1964 and sold for scrap to Hayes at Bridgend on 24 April 1964. Cast iron, repainted, a very old weld repair to the top left corner. |
