| Lot 192 | A smokebox numberplate, 48629, from a Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 No 8629 built by the SR at Brighton to Railway Executive Committee order in 1943 and allocated new to the LMS on 9 June 1943 at Willesden where it spent most of its working life with a final three years at Saltley from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 20 August 1966 and taken for scrap by Cashmores at Great Bridge on 15 November 1966. The front repainted. £300-500 |
