| Lot 135 | A GWR cabside numberplate, 5918, from a 4900 Hall Class 4-6-0, WALTON HALL, built at Swindon in July 1931 and named after the Hall at Wellesbourne near Stratford-upon-Avon, now a hotel. Allocated to Oxley by January 1948 and later Old Oak Common, Southall for nine years, Didcot and Oxford from where it was withdrawn on 7 September 1962 and despatched for scrap to A.King at Norwich on 29 November 1963. Cast brass, in ex loco condition. £1000-1500 |
