A worksplate, LMS, BUILT 1900, ST ROLLOX, from a Caledonian Railway 264 Class 0-4-0ST No 622 which became LMS 16031 and BR 56031. It spent most of its working life at Greenock Ladyburn before finishing its days at Motherwell from where it was withdrawn on 2 April 1962 and cut up at Cowlairs Works. In its later years it was hired to various industrial concerns in central Scotland as cover for temporary motive power shortages. Cast brass, 10½"x6", the front repainted. This Lot is accompanied by its BR receipt. £200-350 |
