| Lot 78 | A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, 24913, 1944, from a War Department Austerity 2-8-0 built to Ministry of Supply order in June 1944, WD No 70853. It was loaned to the Southern Railway in June 1947 and acquired by BR the following year becoming 90332. A long time Huddersfield engine, it moved at the end to Normanton from where it was withdrawn in January 1967 and sold for scrap to Wards at Killamarsh. Cast white brass, 13½"x5½", in ex loco condition. £150-300 |
