| Lot 61 | A worksplate, AVONSIDE, 1989, 1926, from a GWR 1101 Class 0-4-0T No 1103, one of a class of only six powerful engines all built by Avonside in 1926 for working in Swansea Docks. Always allocated to Danygraig, it was withdrawn on 11 January 1960 and sold for scrap to T.W. Ward at Bristol on 1 April 1960. Cast brass, 10¾x7½", the front repainted. £200-350 |
