Locos built by the Midland Railway at Derby in 1892 were (1) 1823 Class 0-4-4T, some of which survived into BR service numbered in the 580XX series; (2) 1102 Class 0-6-0T, some of which survived into BR service numbered in the 418XX series; and (3) 1873 Class 0-6-0, many of which survived into BR service numbered in the 43XXX and 582XX series.
