A nameplate, SHAMROCK, LNWR CREWE WORKS, AUGT 1907, from a London & North Western Railway Precursor Class 4-4-0 No 1309 built at Crewe in August 1907 to Whale's design and named after the national emblem of Ireland. It became LMS No 5302 in April 1928 and was renumbered 25302 in August 1936 before withdrawal on 2 May 1937. Engraved brass, 52¼", in ex loco condition. £6000-8000 |
