| Lot 427 | A smokebox numberplate, 92231, from a BR Standard Class 9 2-10-0 built at Crewe and allocated new to Pontypool Road on 1 August 1958. Its later sheds were Severn Tunnel Junction, Cardiff Canton, Ebbw Junction, Bristol Barrow Road, Eastleigh, Feltham and York North from where it was withdrawn on 17 November 1966 and cut up by Drapers at Hull in the week ending 29 April 1967. Repainted. £500-800 |
