| Lot 375 | A smokebox numberplate, 48374, from a LMS Class 8F 2-8-0 No 8374 built at Horwich and allocated new to Crewe South on 10 November 1944. Its later sheds included Shrewsbury, Wellingborough for nearly twenty years, Speke Junction, Edge Hill and Patricroft from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 15 June 1968 and despatched for scrap to George Cohen at Kettering on 20 September 1968. Repainted, the back to primer. £300-500 |
