| Lot 325 | A smokebox numberplate, 30792, from the SR N15 King Arthur Class 4-6-0 No 792 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 23288, in October 1925 and named SIR HERVIS DE REVEL after one of King Pellinore's knights in Arthurian Legend. Allocated to Nine Elms by January 1948 and later Stewarts Lane and Eastleigh from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 14 February 1959 and cut up at Eastleigh Works in the week ending 21 March 1959. The front repainted. £900-1200 |
