| Lot 233 | A smokebox numberplate, 61259, from a LNER B1 Class 4-6-0 No 1259 built by the North British Locomotive Co, Works No 26160, in November 1947. Allocated new to Neville Hill where it spent most of its working life before moving towards the end to Thornaby and Ardsley from where it was withdrawn on 26 August 1965 and sold for scrap to Hughes Bolckow at Blyth. The back repainted, the front possibly repainted. £400-600 |
