| Lot 212 | A worksplate, MIDLAND RY Co, MAKERS, DERBY 1903. Locos built at Derby in 1903 were (1) 2736 Class 0-6-0 Nos 2736-54, renumbered 1907 and LMS 3765-84, most surviving into BR service numbered between 43765-84; (2) 2781 Class 4-4-0 Nos 820-32, renumbered 1907 and LMS 730-42, some surviving into BR service numbered between 40731-41; (3) 2631 Class 4-4-0 Compound Nos 2633-5, renumbered 1907 and LMS 1002-4, all surviving into BR services as 41002-4; and (4) Class 1134A 0-4-0ST Nos 1139A-1143A, renumbered 1907 and LMS 1523-7, one surviving into BR service as 41523, withdrawn in 1955. Cast brass, 10½"x6", in ex loco condition. A scarce plate as MR worksplates were replaced by LMS plates after the 1923 Grouping. £350-500 |
