A worksplate, LMS, BUILT 1886, ST ROLLOX, from a Caledonian Railway 294 Class 0-6-0 No 367 which was rebuilt in 1895 and sold to HM Government for use by the Railway Operating Division of the Royal Engineers in October 1917, ROD No still 367. It was repurchased by the CR in June 1919 and placed on their duplicate list as No 1367, becoming LMS No 17312 and BR 57312. Allocated to Hurlford by January 1935, it moved in 1940 to Ayr from where it was withdrawn on 27 August 1951 and subsequently scrapped. Cast brass, 10½"x6", the front repainted. £250-400 |
