| Lot 44 | A smokebox numberplate, 58123, from a Midland Railway 1142 Class 0-6-0 No 1160 built by Kitson & Co, Works No 2020, in September 1875. It was renumbered 2918 in 1907 and 22918 in 1934, becoming BR 58123. Allocated by January 1935 to Bescot, it spent most of its later years there and at Walsall. Withdrawn from Bescot in the week ending 7 July 1962, it was taken for scrap by Cashmores at Great Bridge on 12 October 1962. Ex loco condition. £350-500 |
