A Rhodesia Railways cabside numberplate, 371, from a 3ft 6ins gauge 15th Class 4-6-4+4-6-4 Garratt built by Beyer Peacock, Works No 7267, in 1949. Between 1979 and 1982 the remaining 15th Class locos were extensively refurbished, including No 371 which was then named INKOLONGWANE, the Afrikaans name for the Hartebeest, a species of antelope. Cast brass, 19"x13", the front repainted. £150-300 |
