A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, D, REBUILT STRATFORD WORKS 1909, from a Great Eastern Railway 204 Class 0-6-0T No 206 built by Ruston & Procter of Lincoln in 1868 and rebuilt as a crane tank for use at Stratford Works in 1893, together with two others of the same class Nos 204 and 205. In 1894 the three crane tanks lost their running numbers and were designated B, C and D in their former numerical order, No 206 becoming D. It spent all its working life as a crane tank in and around Stratford Works and was withdrawn on 16 October 1950 and cut up at the Works. Cast brass, 9"x5", the front repainted. £600-900 |
