| Lot 313 | A smokebox numberplate, 7921, from a (GWR) 6959 Modified Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in September 1950 and named EDSTONE HALL after the Hall near Stratford-upon-Avon. Allocated new to Chester on 12 September 1950 and later Shrewsbury, Laira and Old Oak Common from where it was withdrawn on 16 December 1963 and sold for scrap to Birds Commercial Motors at Risca on 3 June 1964. The front repainted. £800-1200 |
