A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 5454, REBUILT STRATFORD, 1920, from a Great Eastern Railway Class Y14 0-6-0 No 556 built at Stratford in June 1906, becoming LNER J15 Class No 7556, renumbered 5454 in 1946, BR 65454. The rebuilding date on this plate probably consisted only of fitting a new boiler. Allocated to Stratford by January 1948 and later Colchester and Ipswich from where it was withdrawn on 22 May 1959 and noted at Stratford Works on 29 June 1959. Cast brass, 9"x5", in ex loco condition. £200-350 |
