| Lot 271 | A front or bunker numberplate, 1409, from a 5ft gauge Finnish State Railways Class Vr4 non-superheated 0-6-0ST built by Vulcan Iron Works, Works No 4639, in 1945. All 24 of the class were rebuilt into superheated 0-6-2Ts between 1950 and 1955 and re-classified Vr5. Cast brass, 26"x10", in ex loco condition. A worksplate from one of these engines was sold in our October 2013 sale. £200-350 |
