| Lot 238 | A worksplate, ARMSTRONG WHITWORTH, 1403, 1937, from a LMS Class 5 4-6-0 No 5348 which became BR 45348. Allocated new to Chester LM and later Carlisle Upperby, Crewe North, Llandudno Junction and Shrewsbury from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 13 August 1966 and taken for scrap by Cashmores at Great Bridge on 26 November 1966. Cast brass, 8¼"x5", cleaned and the top left corner replaced, the front repainted. £200-350 |
