A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 63429, AW & Co LTD, 1920, from a North Eastern Railway Class T2, LNER Q6 Class, 0-8-0 No 2272 built by Armstrong Whitworth & Co Ltd, Works No 20, in May 1920, renumbered 3429 in 1946, becoming BR 63429. Allocated to Selby by January 1948 and later Blaydon, North Blyth and Tyne Dock from where it was withdrawn on 1 July 1967 and sold for scrap to Clayton Davie of Gateshead. Cast iron, 9"x5", the front repainted. £250-400 |
