| Lot 144 | A smokebox numberplate, 2092, from a GWR 2021 Class 0-6-0 tank loco built at Wolverhampton, Works No 696, in April 1901, originally as a saddle tank but converted to a pannier tank in October 1930. Allocated to Stourbridge by January 1948, it moved in June 1950 to Birkenhead from where it was withdrawn on 24 August 1955 and sold from Swindon Works on 29 November 1955 to the National Coal Board at Bargoed. The front repainted. £300-500 |
