A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCO Co, HYDE PARK WORKS, 24353, 1936, from a LMS Class 4 2-6-4T No 2597, which became BR 42597. Allocated new to Shrewsbury on 9 November 1936, its later sheds included Warrington Dallam, Edge Hill and Birkenhead from where it was withdrawn in the week ending 23 October 1965 and taken for scrap by Cashmores at Great Bridge on 17 January 1966. Engraved brass, 6¼" diameter, the front lightly polished. £400-500 |
