| Lot 94 | A worksplate, GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY, DONCASTER WORKS, 1256, 1910, from a GNR Class N1 0-6-2T No 1561 built in March 1910. Renumbered 4561 in 1926 and 9441 in 1946, it became BR 69441. A long time Hornsey engine, it moved in 1954 to Colwick and the following year to Bradford Bowling Junction from where it was withdrawn on 30 May 1955 and cut up at Doncaster Works. Engraved brass, 17½"x9½", unpolished, the back stamped 1561. £1000-1500 |
