A worksplate, W.G. BAGNALL, 2654, from a standard gauge 0-6-0ST new in February 1942 to Park Gate Iron & Steel Co. Ltd., Charwelton Ironstone Quarries, Northamptonshire, named CHERWELL. In January 1948 it moved to the nearby Byfield Ironstone Quarries. These quarries closed in February 1965 and in August 1966 the locomotive passed into preservation with Daventry Borough Council at a local recreation ground. In October 2001 it moved to its current location with the Rushden Historical Transport Society, Rushden, Northamptonshire. Cast brass, 8"x5½", the front repainted. £150-300 |
