A worksplate, BEYER PEACOCK, 6961, 1948, from a 5ft 3ins gauge Great Northern Railway of Ireland 4-4-0 No 206 named LIFFEY after the Irish River. In 1953 ownership passed to the Great Northern Railway Board and when the railway was split in 1958 between the governments of Eire and Northern Ireland it became part of Coras Iompair Eireann (CIE)as their No 206N. It was withdrawn in 1960. Cast brass, 10"x6", the front cleaned but unpainted. £200-350 |
