A worksplate, NORTH BRITISH LOCOMOTIVE Co, 25806, 1946, from a LNER B1 Class 4-6-0 No 1050 built in June 1946, becoming BR 61050. Allocated to Norwich by January 1948 and later Darnall, Canklow, Retford GN, Doncaster and Langwith Junction, it was one of fourteen B1s loaned to the Southern Region in May 1953 when the Bulleid Pacifics had to be taken out of service temporarily for axle examination. Withdrawn from Langwith Junction on 6 February 1966, it was transferred to Departmental Stock as DS 30 and used as a stationary boiler until sold for scrap on 2 October 1968 to W. Heselwood at Attercliffe and despatched to them from Derby on 31 October. Cast white brass, 13¾"x5½", the front lightly cleaned. £150-300 |
