| Lot 452 | A South African Railways cabside numberplate. 2043, from a 3ft 6ins gauge Class 15CA 4-8-2 built by the American Locomotive Co (ALCO), Works No 66990, in 1926, the A in the classification indicating the builder. Most of the Class were still in service in 1984. Cast brass, 20¾"x14¼", in ex loco condition but well polished during its working life. £250-400 |
