| Lot 365 | A worksplate, NEILSON REID & Co, 4464, 1892, from a Cape Government Railways 3ft 6ins gauge 7th Class 4-8-0 No M339. On the formation of South African Railways in 1912, it became their Class 7 No 974. Many of the Class were used until the late 1960s on branch line work and they were finally withdrawn by 1972. Cast brass, 9 1/2"x5 3/4", the front repainted. £250-400 |
